No More Room in Hell 2 Extraction Guide

Choose between Early and Final extraction, understand character XP and Credits, prepare the exit, and preserve a Responder when a mission becomes unsafe.

No More Room in Hell 2 has Early and Final extraction. Early extraction becomes available during a run and lets a Responder preserve their life, but it provides no character progression and only a small portion of Credits. Final extraction happens at mission completion and provides character experience plus Credits based on the whole team’s collected Supplies. The correct choice depends on whether the team can survive the remaining tasks and exit sequence—not on how close the marker looks.

Compare Early and Final extraction

Field
Early extraction
Final extraction
Availability
Opens after a short period; Survival also opens it after two failed waves.
Appears at the successful end of the mission sequence.
Character progression
None under the current launch overview.
Awards character experience.
Credits
Only a small portion.
Based on the whole team’s collected Supplies.
Risk decision
Preserve a character when the remaining route is unreasonable.
Accept more exposure for full mission and progression value.

An older 0.9 economy note described a different early-exit Credit outcome. The August 11 launch overview is newer and explicitly says a small portion, so this guide uses the launch rule. The live end screen remains the final check after any future economy patch.

Know when to leave early

Evaluate six conditions: infection stage, remaining Phalanx or cure access, health and recovery, compatible ammunition, number and location of teammates, and route knowledge. If several are failing, staying for a multiplier or achievement is not discipline—it is gambling a persistent character.

Early extraction is especially sensible when visible infection veins indicate a turn is close, the unique gene therapy is unavailable, and the remaining objective is long. It is also reasonable when a team cannot protect a carryable or has repeatedly failed the same Survival speaker. Preserve the Responder, then practice the failure point in Solo or at a lower tier.

Leaving early costs character growth, so do not use it as the default end to every healthy run. A roster cannot develop without successful final extractions. The goal is to recognize a run whose probability has changed, not to avoid all risk.

Prepare before calling the final exit

Regroup

Confirm every living player can reach the exit and name anyone separated by a floor, gate, or previous objective.

Redistribute

Put compatible ammunition, healing, and infection delay on the players who can use them during the sequence.

Reload safely

Sprinting interrupts firearm reload. Finish weapon preparation before the final route becomes a moving retreat.

Assign rescue rules

Decide who covers, who interacts, and when a downed player is no longer reachable without causing a full wipe.

Armageddon added time to rope-extraction beats across maps. Treat it as an extended exposure window, not free safety. A helicopter, rope, hatch, or other exit can still require the sequence to resolve before the achievement or reward is secure.

Understand mode-specific exits

Objective maps culminate in a high-stakes final extraction after the linear task chain. The team may have crossed respawn checkpoints earlier, but deaths after extraction is called can be permanently dangerous even on Beginner or Normal. Normal also has a current known issue where late UI may claim a future respawn after all checkpoints are gone.

Survival asks the team to complete three successful five-minute broadcast waves. After each success, the CRC sends a supply drop and the team rotates. Three successes lead to helicopter extraction. Two failed waves open early extraction to prevent a disaster. That fail threshold is a strong signal to preserve the character rather than treating another attempt as free.

Solo has zero permadeath and no traditional progression. It is useful for learning the approach and interaction but cannot validate the economy or roster consequence of an online exit.

Protect Supplies without sacrificing the team

Supplies become valuable through extraction. Rare Supplies may produce a larger return while using inventory space. Before the last sequence, do not make a wounded player carry every valuable item if another healthy Responder can take them. The launch overview ties final Credit value to the whole team’s Supplies, which rewards getting multiple carriers out.

Avoid a last-minute loot detour after the team is ready. The marginal Credit gain is rarely worth splitting the group during the most permanent part of the run. If a Responder falls in an unrecoverable space, other players must weigh one rescue against a total wipe.

Verify the result

At the end screen, confirm extraction type, character XP, Credits, Assignment progress, achievement progress, and whether a Rescue Beacon was consumed. If a value appears wrong, capture the mission, map, difficulty, team state, and exact end sequence before reporting it. Do not assume a delayed platform achievement means the extraction itself failed.

Use Permadeath for loss boundaries, Credits & Merits for the economy, and Infection for the most time-sensitive leave decision.
